i've been chatting with friends about an idea i've had to start a creative and craft circle in the deep south. who would be interested? we would have those who have skills and wanted to show us how to do something (such as knit, crochet, embroider etc) and at other times we would just meet for a couple hours, and do our own creative thing, just so we have that time to put away for ourselves, to be creative. at other times, we could all take on a project, such as embroidery, interpreted in whatever way we wanted and at other times, we could all work towards creating something beautiful that we could donate. always remember, that in being creative, we are being divine. let me know if you'd be keen xxx

Sounds like a great idea - so long as it doesn't clash with the Book Lounge craft group (once a month on Saturday afternoons), I'll make the trip South.

You're the best, yay!!!!! So we should all bring something healthy and yummy and wine or cooldrink and maybe start off whatever we'd like to work on. Lauren, tell me if I need to bring anything, like cushions to sit on or what not, this is SO RAD!
WOW - how is this for a collective conscience....I too am starting a creative circle ---- or a creative guild! I feel the need to create - I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls (3years and 5 months) and time to make falls away...so I have got together with other mom's at my oldest daughters school - and....waaala - we are gonna be making and creating things....or possibly just to mend things. I can't knit or sew (or I can but very badly - but I know that the more you do it ... the better you get at it) - my grandmother was always knitting..and I want to do that as well....and oh....oh...oh there is just sooo much to do in this one lifetime! - good luck girls - we will toast you from our guild to your circle - lets CREATE as the divine goddess in us only can :-)
