summer folklore

we're trying to get the next summer range of folklore frocks into the shop as soon as possible. i'm getting terribly excited, i hope you are too.

midweek break

lauren and i will be staying at 'the crystal' in camps bay this week. i'm even more excited to stay at the luxurious self-catering accommodation now that i've found out that they have johnny loco bicycles for us to hire! so not only will we be toasting the most beautiful sunset in the world from our terrace in the evening, we'll be exploring the coastline on the most super stylish vintage inspired bicycles in south africa during the day. it's another hard day in africa!

i went to spier with my son, my sister and my friends this past sunday and discovered all the beautiful animals there. luca and i fed and held these amazing owls, doing our very best harry potter and hermione granger impressions. we then drove half way across the country just to get to our wine farm destination for lunch in the stellenbosch/franschoek valley, where an historical manor house and crackling fire awaited us. we ate and chatted and laughed and ate until it looked like i had eaten all the staff in the restaurant. go to zorgvliet, it rocks.

if you have a kid as cool as mine, you'll know that by the time they reach the age of 8, they've grown out of their 6 year old style room and want something completely awesome in it's place. my son sat with me and chose all the pictures of things that he'd love to have in his room. luca's been a star wars fanatic since he was in utero, possibly because his father kept saying, 'luca, i am your father,' to my stomach but i have at least managed to nurture a love of vintage star wars paraphenalia in him. enjoy the post. all images from pinterest
