marietjie and rory's skermunkil shop in palmer road, muizenberg, is so beautiful. not only do they sell my favourite jewellery in the universe, they've also managed to create a gorgeous, quirky workspace cum showcase in the prettiest little village in cape town. you can find palmer road by gps, or by driving down under the bridge towards muizenberg beach and looking out for the sign on the left hand side that says 'this way to palmer road, the heart of muizenberg village.' you'll also find a gourmet pizzeria, a vegan restaurant, a tiny bakery called la petite boulangerie (that supplies superette) and palmer road rotisserie that serves totally delish 'muizemburgers' amongst other lip-smacking goodness. pop around on a friday afternoon before 3.30pm and buy some skermunkil jewellery and then take a walk around blue bird garage market. enjoy artisan beers and an array of amazing food. and if you live close by, remember to ride there on your bicycle!
