stanford is a dream for leisure cyclists - serious cyclists too, if you venture out of town. i loved being able to cycle everywhere for a week, never using my car once. hopefully soon south africans will start commuting on their bicycles without giving it a second thought and not reserve their cycling purely for 100km exercise routines over the weekend.

I totally agree with you! I ride my bike to work and back everyday, and am proud to not contribute to the deterioration of our environment! It is also more cost effective. Beautiful photos.
So lovely. Would love to bicycle around more, but Durban has so many hills and I live on top of the biggest one! x
